About Ten Lakes Center - Mission

Mission:

It is the mission of Ten Lakes Center to provide short-term acute mental health services to the aging adult population of Tuscarawas County and the surrounding area. Ten Lakes Center provides a therapeutic milieu which promotes quality adult psychiatric services in a safe environment with pride in our staff and dedication to the communities we seek to serve. As a facility of Behavioral Centers of America, we are dedicated to serving people with mental illness with the best trained and motivated professionals in our service industry.

Vision:

Ten Lakes Center seeks to redefine the way mental health care is delivered.

We strive to be the leader in mental health treatment. Ten Lakes Center partners with physicians, Twin City Hospital and community resources to extend our services from hospital to home.

Values:

Family: We celebrate the family and seek to provide an anchor for them as they deal with the storms of life, aging and mental illness.

Service: We provide short-term acute adult and geriatric mental health services.

Outcomes: We measure our services clinically against written criteria for quality care. We measure our success personally and professionally based on the satisfaction of the patient, families, and community we serve.

Ethics: Ten Lakes Center is grounded in personal and professional ethics and will meet community needs in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Easy Access and Caring Staff: Mental illness can be overwhelming. Families and caregivers need support that is immediately available and provided by caring, professionally trained staff in a therapeutic environment. We provide those services at Ten Lakes Center with openness and the desire to serve.

Educate and Train: We provide treatment and cognitive training skills for patients, based on individual needs for training and support. We are aware that the disease process is progressive and requires on-going education to meet changing needs.

Altruism: Aftercare and outreach to families and communities is essential. We take the role of a servant to our communities and volunteer with other service agencies to address community and family needs.
